How reviews work
Every review on HelloPros comes from a real customer of that pro. Here is how.
Who can leave a review
- Only a customer who hired the pro through HelloPros: they confirmed their mobile number and accepted the pro's bid or request, or completed a paid booking.
- Reviews open 24 hours after the pro was hired (straight away after a completed booking) and close 12 months later. One review per customer per job.
- Reviews show how they were verified (hired, or booked and paid through HelloPros).
What we never do
- We never hide, delay or reorder reviews because they are negative.
- We never write, buy or sell reviews, and we never offer customers anything for a review. Pros may not either; doing so gets their account suspended.
- We don't copy reviews or star ratings from other websites, and ratings from other sites are never counted in a HelloPros star rating.
When a review is removed
A person (never an automated filter) may remove a review only if it:
- contains hate speech, threats or harassment;
- shares someone's personal information;
- isn't about this business or this job;
- was written by someone with a conflict of interest, such as a competitor or the pro;
- is spam or advertising.
Removals are logged with the reason. Pros can reply publicly to any review, but cannot edit or remove it.
Star ratings
A pro's rating is the average of all published HelloPros reviews, with the number of reviews shown next to it.
